The Washington County Planning, Conservation and Parks Dept. recently pulled together a group of farmers, conservationists, developers, realtors and municipal leaders to research ways to preserve farmland and open space in Washington County.   

The ultimate goal is to provide communities and county planners with the tools they need to incorporate farmland preservation into their Smart Growth Plans.
